The Faraway Paladin continues to be good. And, as I said in my review of the previous book, not "good for a light novel," but just good, period. I'm glad I've come across it, and I hope it gains more fans, as it deserves them.In this volume, the main character, Will, runs into new problems, continues to treat them with a combination of fantasy and common sense, and deals with his Superman problem a bit. It's well written, well edited, and well translated. And uses better bastardized Latin than some English first language novels I could name.

Will leaves the City of the Dead. We are introduced to new characters, new adventures and tons of fun. I really enjoyed the beautiful illustrations in this volume. The depictions of Wills goddess is great.
The second entry in a light-weight, fun to read, action and fantasy series. Despite the almost non-stop action, it's not quite as engaging as the first volume, but it's still an absolute blast to read! If you liked volume one, this is a solid follow up!
What a great follow up to the original beautiful light novel before it. Though originally written in Japanese, the translation carries over to english really well. I anxiously await the third volume.
New to this genre but really liking it so far
This book was great but I wish it was a little more so paced.
I can't understand he he and the elf became friends so fast. Also when he realizes that he's stronger than everyone why does he at weird about it? I feel like because of how powerless he was in his old life he would crave power in his new one.
Over all good book and would recommend it.
This story is funny intense exciting and it's just beginning... I can't wait for the 3rd volume to come out.... Brings me back to that first time I lost myself to another world or reality created by an author
I think this novel was a great continuation. Of course all the pictures were great and they really enhanced the read. The fights were also really well done and exciting! The characters are all very well done and feel very alive and real and they really make this story great without bringing it down in any way. This volume also added a lot to the story with some really good world building which helped expand and detail the setting and situation the world is in at the moment. All in all it was a great read and I highly recommended this book and from what I've heard about the next volume it should be even better.
I have come to like this series quite a lot. The characters feel engaging and flawed. I hope the author continues to expand the world and we learn many things on how this world works. I hope to see many adventures in the ten years between the echoes. I would love for it to be triple the length to learn more about the world. But I enjoyed it and hope to read more.
