The first novella of the series. It was ok. So I didnt hold much hope for this one. But this one blew me away. From the very beginning I was just captivated by it. Yes it was still cheesy but in a good way. I loved the characters of the story. I also really like see what the characters that I just read about what they are up too. All the Reed Brothers. But these 2 characters in this story just captivated me, they sucked me right in. It is a beautiful story. The way the author tells these stories are just amazing. She turns tragedies into beautiful plots.This is a novella so technically you can read these out of order. But I love reading things in order. So I am going in order of these books. Both characters came from a dark past. Which you see more of Daniels dark past than Faith's. But I still really enjoyed it. I cannot wait to continue on and see what happens with the next story.

Before I start, please note this may contain some spoilers so read at your own risk. While this story is very short, it contains every aspect of a five hundred page novel. When Daniel met Faith, he had given up on everything that life is about; laughter, fun, smiling and just generally feeling. He didn't understand that surviving the tragedy that fell on his troop was because he still had a purpose in life. I can't imagine what any of our troops feel after serving for our country, but I hope they each have someone as special as Faith in their lives plus the corresponding support system, whether it's friends, family or other military personnel.
Daniel's watch is such a poignant part of this story. Instead of him realizing that it stopped when he stopped living, he felt it stopped to signify when he needed to join his troops. When it started again at precisely the time he was supposed to end it all, I thought I was going to ball my eyes out. How does a watch that refuses to be fixed start working out of the blue? Because someone had faith that there were bigger and better things yet for Daniel to accomplish. We all reach a point in our lives where we think we can't possibly handle one more thing and that maybe if we just stop living, then that is what is best. But if we actually realized that those things and feelings are temporary, we would all be so much better off. I loved Faith's theory that we all have strings that connect us to people and even when we feel our loneliest we are still tethered to those that are meant to be in our lives. Faith and hope, we mustn't lose that.
The other point of this beautiful story is the grandparents. If ever there was an example of true love, that was it. It is something we each should strive for. Finding that one person who will do anything for and love until the end of time. Daniel and Faith have that. Thanks Tammy Falkner for writing this beautiful novella.
This book is influenced by the Reed brothers & their extended family & friends but it really introduces us to two new characters. Daniel is a wounded soldier with severe PTSD after losing his leg in the war along with all of his team members. He has a bucket list to fulfill before New Year's Day & what happens after that is left up to fate. As luck would have it Daniel's first item on the bucket list is a tattoo & he gets an awesome one courtesy of the Reed boys. His watch stopped during the explosion that took his leg so he was hoping to get it fixed. Pete leads him to Henry's store where Daniel's course in life changes when he meets Henry's granddaughter Faith. In a way Faith wants to fix Daniel but even more importantly she wants to see him live again, not realizing that he feels he has nothing left to live for. They spend the most wonderful day together & the chemistry between these two is crazy! Faith doesn't know if she'll see Daniel again & he gives her a thank you gift since Faith opened his eyes to the possibility of finally being happy. He realizes he needs help & writes to Faith to let her know how he is doing & how much he is attracted to her. Great short love story demonstrating the "strings" in life that Faith talks about, the connections we make to different people who cross our paths & you have to trust that these connections can lead to something important.
Wow...what a surprise when Tammy released Finally Finding Faith. It is a short novella in The Reed Brothers series. This was a story that I don't think she planned but one she needed to write. It probably consumed her soul until she got this story on paper. Thank you Tammy for sharing this story with us.
Finally Finding Faith deeply touched my heart. It gave me an insight on how one must feel in their darkest hour. How one feels when time stops in their lives. This novella is a story of despair and a story of pure happiness. It is a story of finding faith in life itself.
The characters in this book are spin offs of secondary characters in the Reed Brothers books. Both are new to the series and are just as charismatic as all the Reed Brother characters. They come to life and grab the reader's attention. They ingrain themselves into the reader's heart and leave a wonderful memory long after the story is finished. It was nice to see the Reed family make background appearances in this story. It showed how wonderful their little piece of the world is.
I absolutely loved this short novella as much as the full length Reed Brothers novels.
Tammy Falkner has a gift with characterization, dialogue, and story magic.
I highly recommend the Reed Brother series. Finally Finding Faith can be read as a stand alone novella. Be sure not to miss this remarkable reading experience.
